Prepositions
1- BY car, BY bus, subway, bicycle, train. However you go ON foot (you might also go ON horseback if you want )
2- To skip = “pular”, mas não pular enquanto salto.. “pular” uma parte de um filme, pular uma refeição, uma parte da estória..
3-To spend = gastar $$ ou energia, ou passar determinado tempo (horas, dias, semanas..)
4-To take = o verbo “take” tem "N" significados, um deles é "pegar", tal como em : "pegar um ônibus", "pegar um vôo" ou " levar ".. tal como em: “levar alguém ou alguma coisa à algum lugar"
(to "take something or someone somewhere")5- Rates = preço da diária, ou “taxa”, enquanto classificação ou estatística (de desemprego, natalidade, crescimento de um país..)
6-High season = alta temporada .. low season = baixa temporada/estação
..rates are lower after the high season is over= diárias são mais baixas quando a alta temporada acabar
